Last week I visited Lanzarote, and I was completely mesmerized.
The island feels like a living painting — the bright light, the volcanoes, the jet-black beaches, the rough earth tones carved by fire and wind. You drive through a sea of lava, cliffs, and caves shaped by pure energy.
I met several artists working with natural ceramics, and my hands were itching the whole week to paint. Back in my studio, I couldn’t resist — I spent nights painting what I felt there.
That’s how this portrait was born: “Lanzarote.”
It reflects that raw, earthy energy — the gold of the sun, the blue of the water, the heat on the skin, the darkness of the lava — all colliding in perfect harmony.
A tribute to the island and its powerful spirit.
