It typically takes about one month to complete a portrait commission. During high-demand seasons like Christmas, it might take a bit longer.

What is the difference between ordering a commission and buying from a collection?

A collection piece is already painted, unique, and available right now in my Art Shop. They can be shipped immediately or collected from my Zurich studio — and they tend to sell quickly. They are also slightly more affordable.
 A commission is a bespoke painting made specifically for you, tailored to your face, preferences, and colors — which is why they are priced higher.

How do I know my commission will match my expectations?

Before I begin, I create a digital color study based on your photo. This sketch allows us to agree on the composition, colors, forms, and overall mood. Once you approve it, I hand-paint the final piece — ensuring you receive exactly what you envisioned.

Yes. I offer art rental services for offices, hotels, and private spaces, including delivery, installation, and rotation.  Typically they are long term contracts with prices starting from 100 CHF/piece/month

I guide you through every step — from colours and composition to decoration advice — making the process smooth and enjoyable.

Finding the right artist can be challenging — there are not many, and styles vary widely. The best approach is to ask for recommendations and look for an artist whose work resonates with you. If my style isn’t what you’re looking for, I’m happy to point you in another direction. I know most artists in Zurich and can recommend trusted colleagues.

How can I buy original art in Zurich without a gallery markup?

Galleries typically add a 40–50% commission on top of the artist’s price. The most cost-effective way to purchase quality art locally is to buy directly from the artist. This way, you not only save on markup but also build a personal connection with the creator. If my work isn’t what you’re seeking, I can still recommend talented local artists whose style you may love.

Do you create paintings as wedding or anniversary gifts?

Yes. I often create personalized paintings as unique, timeless gifts for weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions. These can be commissioned portraits or artworks with symbolic meaning tailored to the couple or person receiving the gift.

Do you do collaborations?

I only collaborate when there is a strong cause involved, such as a charity project. I’m open to hearing collaboration proposals, but I do not provide art for free — especially at this stage in my career.

Yes — every painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. This is especially valuable for collectors and the resale market, as it verifies the artwork’s origin and ensures its long-term value. Some of my works have already been resold for substantial amounts, so having the certificate is an important added safeguard.

Ja, ich male Porträts nach Fotovorlagen. Du kannst mir einfach dein Lieblingsfoto schicken, und ich setze es als handgemaltes Gemälde auf Leinwand um. So entsteht ein einzigartiges Kunstwerk, das deine Persönlichkeit oder die deiner Liebsten festhält.

Wie läuft eine Auftragsmalerei ab?

Zuerst wählen wir gemeinsam das passende Foto und besprechen Größe, Farben und Stil. Danach starte ich mit der Malerei und halte dich auf Wunsch mit Zwischenbildern auf dem Laufenden. Sobald das Gemälde fertig ist, wird es sorgfältig versiegelt, verpackt und geliefert oder persönlich übergeben.

Der Preis hängt von Größe ab. Kleine Formate beginnen bei 2800 CHF, größere Werke bewegen sich im Bereich von 3800 CHF+.
Jedes Porträt ist ein Unikat, das viele Stunden Handarbeit erfordert und daher einen bleibenden Wert hat.

Je nach Größe und Auftragslage dauert die Fertigstellung in der Regel zwischen 2 und 6 Wochen.  Wenn du ein Bild zu einem bestimmten Anlass brauchst, sprich mich am besten frühzeitig an.
